What is Roar and Raise?

Roar and Raise is Flagler College’s 48-hour giving challenge that brings the entire Flagler community together. Over two days, alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends rally to support the areas of campus they care about most. Special matches, challenges, and participation goals help amplify the impact of every gift.

What can I do beyond making a gift?

There are many ways to support Roar and Raise beyond donating:

• Spread the word and build excitement by sharing Roar and Raise with classmates, friends, and fellow alumni
• Create a match or challenge to encourage others to give
• Like, comment on, and share Roar and Raise posts on social media to help extend our reach

What is a match?

A match is a commitment from a donor or group of donors to match gifts dollar-for-dollar up to a specified amount. For example, a $5,000 match means the first $5,000 given to that area is instantly doubled, turning it into $10,000 of impact.

What is a challenge?

A challenge unlocks additional funds when a specific goal is met. This might be reaching a certain number of donors, gifts, or dollars raised. Challenges encourage participation and make every gift part of a bigger collective effort.

What is the least I can give?

Every gift counts.

• Students: $5 minimum
• All other donors: $10 minimum

No matter the size, your participation helps move Flagler forward.

Where does my gift go?

You can direct your gift to what matters most to you.

• Restricted gifts support a specific area such as scholarships, academics, athletics, student life, or campus initiatives
• Unrestricted gifts support the Flagler Fund, providing flexible funding that allows the College to respond to the greatest and most immediate needs

Both options are impactful and help ensure Flagler remains strong, responsive, and student-focused.

Does my gift really make a difference?

Yes, absolutely! Gifts made during Roar and Raise directly support students, programs, and campus priorities. You can see the results of your generosity firsthand in our Impact section, where we highlight how donor support is shaping the Flagler experience.

Can I make multiple gifts?

Yes, you are welcome to make more than one gift during Roar and Raise. While you will count as one donor for participation totals, each gift adds additional support to the areas you choose.

Can my employer match my gift?

Yes. Many employers offer matching gift programs, which can double or even triple the impact of your donation. Be sure to check with your employer to see if your gift qualifies.

Why should I give now instead of later?

During Roar and Raise, your gift goes further than at any other time. Matches, challenges, and participation goals mean your support has an immediate and amplified impact, helping Flagler in ways that are not possible outside the giving challenge.

What is Flagler Forward?

Flagler Forward is Flagler College’s first-ever comprehensive campaign. Now in its final year, the campaign is focused on reaching its ambitious goals to strengthen academics, enhance the student experience, and secure the College’s future.
