Following a long and successful career in business, Paul joined Flagler College in 2008 as an adjunct professor in the Business Department, and was promoted within just a few years to a full-time Visiting Lecturer. Paul’s gift for teaching, particularly with first year students, helped prepare them for success both inside and outside of the classroom. Paul’s classes, informal advising, and conversations with students helped ground them in the real world and prepared them for rewarding lives and careers after Flagler College. In addition to teaching, Paul was a passionate supporter of Flagler Athletics, and he could often be found cheering for and mentoring our student-athletes both on and off the field.
Paul passed away unexpectedly in October 2022, leaving a deeply felt void at Flagler College. To honor the powerful difference he made in the lives of his students and memorialize his legacy in perpetuity, Flagler College seeks to establish the Paul Sneider Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund, which will support a low-income, first generation, or student of color, with preference to support a student in one of nine majors in the Business Department.
Paul touched thousands of students’ lives during his nearly 15 years of teaching at Flagler College. With the establishment of the Paul Sneider Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund, he will continue to impact the lives of our students for generations to come.
