Please consider a gift today in memory of "Red" Cox in support of our baseball team. This scholarship was established in 1998 through gifts by family and friends of J. Edward "Red" Cox, a longtime resident of St. Augustine and a staunch supporter of the St. Augustine community. J. Edward "Red" Cox was the first director of parks and recreation in St. Augustine. He held the position for 37 years. As an athlete, he was a star catcher for the St. Augustine Saints professional baseball club in the mid-1940's.
