Atlanta Alumni Chapter Scholarship

We invite you to participate in a special campaign to support students from Atlanta. In May of 2022, the Kenan Charitable Trust made a $12 million gift to support key areas of Flagler College. As part of that gift, $2 million is being used to match donor gifts to establish 85 newly endowed scholarships. We are looking to establish an endowed scholarship for a student from Atlanta by collectively raising $12,500 which will be matched with an additional $12,500. Each year, a student from your area will receive a minimum of $1,000 to attend Flagler. This is a great opportunity to help students from where you live and double the impact of your gift as each dollar you give will be matched!

To establish this scholarship, we need to collectively raise $12,500 from alumni in the area. Once that amount is donated, the Kenan Trust will match with an additional $12,500, setting up an endowed scholarship that will live in perpetuity. A gift to this scholarship fund will help incoming students from the Atlanta area reduce their financial burden and give them the ability to focus on their class work. When students have funding secured for their education, it allows a greater focus on classwork, research, internships and independent work that will better prepare them for their future careers. Over 90% of Flagler students rely on financial aid and by endowing this scholarship, we can add to the growing list of endowed funds that will create a greater access to the Flagler education we all received.
