Make a gift today and support The Ottoman Greeks of the United States Digital History Project (OGUS)!
The Ottoman Greeks of the United States Digital History Project (OGUS) is a groundbreaking interdisciplinary research initiative maintained by the Public History Program at Flagler College. OGUS is dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories of Ottoman Greek migrants who came to the United States during the early 20th century. Through its digital archive and geolocation map, OGUS sheds light on their journeys, contributions, and cultural heritage.
Our Fundraising Priority:
We are raising funds to expand this vital project by supporting:
-
Digital Archiving: Preservation of interviews, photographs, artifacts, and migration documents.
-
Research Expeditions: Annual trips to collect and document stories and materials from across the U.S.
-
Public Outreach: Programs and presentations to share the history and experiences of Ottoman Greek migrants.
Why Your Support Matters:
Your generosity helps us preserve an important piece of history and make it accessible to scholars, students, and the public. By contributing to OGUS, you ensure that the legacy of Ottoman Greek migrants continues to inspire future generations and foster greater cultural understanding.
