Make a gift today and support the Archaeology Program!
The Archaeology Program at Flagler College provides students with transformative, hands-on experiences that bring history to life. Through immersive fieldwork, interdisciplinary studies, and expert mentorship, students gain the skills and knowledge needed to uncover and preserve the stories of our shared past. With opportunities to participate in archaeological digs, research projects, and site visits, our program prepares students for meaningful careers in archaeology, anthropology, and cultural resource management.
Our Fundraising Priority:
We are raising funds to enhance student experiences through field schools, research opportunities, and hands-on learning. Contributions will directly support:
-
Summer Archaeological Field School: Students will excavate the Powhatan Indian town of Kiskiak in Virginia, exploring human-environmental relationships in the Chesapeake estuary.
-
Field Visits and Research: Funding will allow students to visit archaeological sites, museums, and Indian reservations as part of their studies.
-
Educational Resources: Contributions will support equipment, travel, and resources for classroom and field learning.
Why Your Support Matters:
Your generosity empowers students to step into the role of archaeologists, applying their classroom learning in real-world settings. By supporting the Archaeology Program, you are helping preserve history, inspire future archaeologists, and expand opportunities for Flagler College students to contribute to this vital field.
