The Jason N. Stewart Memorial Scholarship for Leadership was established to support and recognize student leaders who dedicate their time and talents to the Flagler College community. Created by longtime Flagler supporters and alumni Dan '78 and Mary Ellen (Crotty) '79 Stewart, this scholarship honors their late son, Jason, who was known for his inspiring attitude and leadership despite personal challenges.
A Lasting Commitment to Student Leadership
Dr. Stewart devoted more than 40 years to Flagler College, including 26 years as Chief Student Affairs Officer. During his tenure, he worked closely with student leadership teams—Resident Advisors, Student Government leaders, the Campus Activity Board, and Flagler Volunteers—who give countless hours to enrich campus life. Recognizing the financial need of these dedicated students, the Stewarts endowed this scholarship to ensure their contributions are acknowledged and supported.
