Established in 2010 by the Abare family and supported by friends and community members, this scholarship celebrates Bill and Susan Abare’s 40 years of dedication to Flagler College. Over his 46-year tenure, including 16 years as president, Dr. Abare played a pivotal role in academic growth, athletic expansion, and student success at Flagler. From guiding the College’s transition to NCAA Division II to championing athletic facility improvements, Dr. Abare’s leadership has left a lasting impact.
