Art History
Flagler College Art History is a dynamic program that encourages students to explore the connections between art, culture, and history while developing the skills to pursue bold and meaningful career paths. Located in St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest city, students are immersed in a living classroom surrounded by centuries of art, architecture, and history.
Through a combination of rigorous coursework and hands-on experiences, students gain a deep understanding of visual culture and its impact on society. Opportunities such as gallery management, student-curated exhibitions, and study-away experiences provide practical applications that extend learning beyond the classroom.
The program has become a hub for undergraduate research on campus, with students regularly presenting at conferences, conducting original research, and contributing to public scholarship. These experiences prepare students for graduate study, careers in museums and galleries, and a wide range of creative and cultural fields.
