About

Cinematic Arts Film Fund

The Cinematic Arts Film Fund supports one of Flagler College’s most innovative and rapidly growing programs. As an interdisciplinary major within the School of Creative Arts and Letters, Cinematic Arts provides students with the opportunity to explore storytelling through film, performance, writing, and visual media.

A defining feature of the program is a multi-year, program-wide film project led by a Visiting Filmmaker. This capstone experience allows students to work collaboratively across disciplines on large-scale productions designed to mirror professional filmmaking environments.

From their first year, students gain hands-on experience with cameras, equipment, and production techniques. Through coursework spanning film production, screenwriting, animation, performance, and film theory, students develop both the creative and technical skills needed to succeed in the industry.

Projects like the Fort Mose docudrama give students the opportunity to participate in meaningful, real-world productions that tell powerful stories while building professional portfolios.

Our Roar and Raise Goal

Our Roar and Raise goal is to raise $2,500 to support student film productions, equipment, and experiential learning opportunities.

Why Your Support Today Matters

• Supports large-scale, student-led film productions
• Provides access to professional-grade equipment and resources
• Funds collaboration with visiting filmmakers and industry professionals
• Enhances hands-on learning across film, performance, and storytelling
• Helps students build portfolios with real-world production experience

Hands-On Learning That Sets Students Apart

The Cinematic Arts program is designed to replicate a professional filmmaking environment, giving students the opportunity to work on projects intended for national distribution. By collaborating across disciplines and participating in every stage of production, students graduate with practical experience that sets them apart in competitive creative industries.

Thank You!
